Microsoft today has released the first service pack for Microsoft Office 2010. The service pack contains all previous public updates and cumulative updates released for office 2010
so far. Genuine windows users can download this update via Windows Live
Update. On the other hand, users without a permanent internet
connection can download the offline installers. Office 2010 SP1 has been
released for both Windows x86 and x64 architecture. The installers are
packed with all the existing updates and new features released so far
and for that reason the file size is quite large. The 32-bit installer
weighs 361 MB and the 64-bit installer weighs 439 MB.

- Access 2010 SP1 adds a new feature to integrate community content in the Application Parts gallery.
- Excel 2010 SP1 improves the overall stability, performance and backward compatibility with earlier versions by addressing bugs that affect lots of users.
- OneNote 2010 SP1 adds a new Open from web option that is located under the File Open menu. This enables you to open OneNote notebooks from Windows Live SkyDrive.
- Outlook 2010 SP1 includes Office 365 support.
- PowerPoint 2010 SP1 use Presenter View option is changed to display the slide show on the secondary monitor, and display the notes on the primary monitor.
- Word 2010 SP1 includes a dialog box that warns users that the custom XML will be lost when files that use custom XML markups are saved in XML-based file formats.
